Hi, My name is Clara,

        I'm so passionately in love with fitness but that wasn’t always the case. I started my weight-loss and fitness journey 9 years ago just trying to eat better. All the physical activity I could do at the time was dance in my living room with breaks in between. I had a very poor self image and a very bad and abusive  relationship with food.  128 pounds lighter, I'm 40 years old and have been married to the same man for 23 years and we have 4 great children together. If you asked me even 5 years ago if I thought I'd be up here teaching other woman how to express and celebrate their power and sensuality, I'd say your crazy for many reasons, and yet here we are.

         I feel I'm finally at a place where the world can not fit me in a description or define me through a word in the dictionary. There are too many parts of me, so different and eclectic and all equally beautiful. The goal of these classes is to channel or allow yourself to celebrate and release the sensual Captivus… or in English, the captivating part of you that every woman posses inside. My hope is that you allow her to express herself in a safe environment through dance with no judgement or expectation.

          As young girls, most of us were taught that SEXY is a bad word, and only bad girls are wanting to be SEXY. That's NOT TRUE. Here at CAPTIVUS DANCE FITNESS we acknowledge that every woman carries her sexy within herself. She either displays it or suppresses it in various ways. The goal is that all women will be more aware of what they posses and have confidence in it. That they see their sensuality as a treasure.

I'm not intending that every woman go out naked and try to persuade every man in sight. As a intricate being we are all made differently and display our sexy in different ways. You can be covered from head to toe and not let the world ever see it… that’s perfectly perfect as long as you know who you are, what you posses and you decide who you allow to see your treasure!
